Welcome to Stamitz Violins!

Making musical instruments is a Czech tradition going back to the 17th century. Musical instrument craftsmanship spread from Italy to France, across the Alps into Austria and Germany and, from there, to us.

Czech violin makers have earned a worldwide reputation among virtuosos. The legendary violin makers families of Prague are a prime example. JS violin workshop continues this Old World art with nostalgia and respect for traditions

JS violins, violas and cellos are exclusively made from Bosnian maple wood and Šumava mountain or Alpine spruce. Turning work, gluing, varnishing and decorating, it all takes hours and hours of highly focused work.
